Is it any good?
The iPhone 17 fixes the two longest-running complaints about Apple's regular iPhone: it finally gets a 120Hz ProMotion always-on OLED display and starts with 256GB of storage as standard. Even after Apple's price hike from ₹82,900 at launch to ₹99,900 today, it remains the most balanced iPhone in the catalogue.
Its 6.3-inch screen matches the iPhone 18 Pro for size, resolution, and 3,000-nit peak outdoor brightness, protected by Ceramic Shield 2. You also get two 48MP rear cameras (main with sensor-shift OIS and a 48MP ultrawide with macro), the upgraded 18MP Center Stage front camera, the A19 chip, Wi-Fi 7, and 25W MagSafe wireless charging in a light 177-gram body.
What you miss compared with the Pro models is a dedicated optical telephoto lens, a faster USB 3 port (this is still USB 2 at 480 Mbps), and the newest A20 Pro silicon. For most buyers, saving ₹65,000 over the iPhone 18 Pro is the smarter call.
