Is it any good?
The iPad mini (A20 Pro) is the small iPad rebuilt: an 8.5-inch OLED screen, a body 5.4 mm thin that weighs 255 g, and an IP67 rating against dust and water, which no other iPad we list has. It goes on sale in India on 6 November from ₹82,900 for 128GB with Wi-Fi, and it is for readers, note-takers and travellers who want a tablet that works in one hand.
The money buys the A20 Pro chip with Apple Intelligence, a 2316 x 1512 Super Retina XDR panel at 326 ppi that peaks at 1,200 nits for HDR, Apple Pencil Pro support, Wi-Fi 7 and a 12MP front camera on the long edge, where video calls need it. The 512GB versions get a sixth CPU core, and a 20W charger comes in the box.
The catch is the price. It starts only ₹7,000 below the iPad Air 11″ (M4), which has a bigger screen, and ₹33,000 above the iPad (A16). The 5G versions add ₹18,000, the nano-texture glass another ₹12,000, and Apple publishes no refresh rate for the screen. Pay for the mini only if small is the point.
