Is it any good?
At ₹79,900 for 256GB (up from ₹64,900 at its March 2026 launch), the iPhone 17e is now the lowest-priced phone on Apple's India store, undercutting the older 128GB iPhone 16 by ₹10,000 while doubling the storage.
On paper, the core hardware is current where it counts: you get the A19 chip (with a 4-core GPU instead of 5-core), Apple's C1X 5G modem, a 48MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, Ceramic Shield 2 on the front, IP68 water resistance, the Action button, and 15W MagSafe wireless charging.
The cuts are obvious next to the ₹99,900 iPhone 17. The 6.1-inch OLED screen lacks ProMotion and Dynamic Island, peaks at a dimmer 1,200 nits in HDR, and there is no ultrawide camera, no Camera Control button, no Ultra Wideband chip, and only Wi-Fi 6.
