Is it any good?
Unlike the newer LCD-based Y51 Pro 5G and Y31t 5G, the Y400 5G gives you a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2,400 x 1,080) 120Hz AMOLED screen rated at 1,800 nits peak brightness, alongside 90W wired charging for its 6,000 mAh battery. It is also noticeably trimmer than vivo's 7,200 mAh Y-series models at 197g and 7.9mm thick (198g and 7.99mm in Glam White), while still carrying IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance.
At ₹31,999 for the single in-stock 8GB + 128GB model, the catch is its 2025 hardware platform: it runs on an entry-level 2.2GHz Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip and ships with older Funtouch OS 15 (Android 15). Camera hardware comprises a 50MP f/1.8 main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a 32MP front camera.
If you want an AMOLED screen and faster processor around this price, spending ₹3,000 more for the T5 5G gets you Android 16, a 1.5K 144Hz panel and an ultrawide camera.
