Is it any good?
The V70 is the sensible half of vivo's V70 pair. At ₹59,999 for 8GB + 256GB, or ₹64,999 for 12GB + 256GB, it is for people who mostly want good portraits and a good-looking phone, and do not much care what is under the glass.
It keeps nearly everything the V70 Elite has: the 6.59-inch 120Hz screen rated at 5,000 nits, a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto, both stabilised, 4K video at 60fps, a 6,500 mAh battery with 90W charging, IP68 and IP69 ratings and a promise of four Android updates. It comes in Passion Red, Lemon Yellow and Authentic Black.
The catch is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, the same chip as in the newer V80, which costs ₹3,000 more and adds a 7,200 mAh battery, a 144Hz screen and Android 17. Unless one of the V70's colours wins you over, the V80 is the better buy.
