Is it any good?
The X8 Pro Max is POCO's biggest swing this year: a Dimensity 9500s, a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED and a 9,000 mAh battery, from ₹46,999 for 12GB + 256GB. That battery is 2,500 mAh bigger than the X8 Pro's, yet the Max is 0.1 mm thinner.
It charges at 100W, the screen peaks at 3,500 nits, and the IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K set covers dust, dunks and pressure jets. Gorilla Glass 7i sits on top and a metal frame runs around the edge.
The catch is the camera: a 50MP main sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide, and no telephoto. The Max is about speed and stamina, not zoom. The 512GB version costs ₹4,000 more, and that is the only choice you have to make.
