At ₹59,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version currently in stock, the V70 shares almost the entire physical package of the pricier V70 Elite: the same 6.59-inch 1.5K (2,750 x 1,260) 120Hz AMOLED display with 5,000 nits peak brightness, the same 6,500 mAh battery with 90W charging, and the same IP68 and IP69 ratings.

Crucially, the camera system is untouched. You get the 50MP f/1.88 OIS primary camera, the 50MP f/2.65 OIS super telephoto camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP autofocus front camera, all capable of 4K 60fps video. Software support is also identical at four OS updates and six years of security updates on OriginOS 6 (Android 16).

What changes is the processor: vivo uses the 2.8GHz Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 here instead of the V70 Elite's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. With the newer V80 now sitting just ₹3,000 higher with a larger 7,200 mAh battery and Android 17 out of the box, the V70 makes the most sense if you specifically want its Lemon Yellow or Passion Red finishes.
