Is it any good?
The Reno16 is OPPO's compact phone, and compact is the selling point: a 6.32-inch screen at 182 g to 193 g depending on colour. It costs ₹66,999 for 8GB + 256GB and ₹72,999 for 12GB + 256GB, and it is for people tired of phones that need two hands.
The money buys three 50MP rear cameras, including a 3.5x telephoto with OIS, a 50MP autofocus selfie camera, 4K video at 60fps front and back, and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Fitting a 6,700 mAh battery with 80W charging into a body this size is the real party trick. IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings mean water is not a worry.
The catch is that the Reno16c costs ₹52,999 with a bigger screen, a bigger 7,000 mAh battery and the same 3.5x telephoto, giving up only the 50MP ultrawide and some chip speed. So the extra ₹14,000 is mostly paying for the smaller size. There is no NFC either, on paper an odd omission at this price.
