Starting at ₹1,79,999 for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, the Galaxy Z Fold8 rethinks Samsung’s foldable shape. Instead of a tall, narrow bar, it adopts a wider, shorter passport-style footprint (123.9 x 81.9mm folded) that opens into a 7.6-inch 4:3 inner screen while weighing just 201g.
It shares the Ultra’s core platform: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, 3,000-nit Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels inside and out, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 on the cover, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and a 4,800 mAh battery. Software starts on One UI 9 with Android 17 and seven promised OS upgrades.
The catch is what Samsung cut to hit the ₹20,000 lower price and compact frame. Unlike every previous Fold and the ₹1,74,999 Galaxy Z Fold7, the Galaxy Z Fold8 drops the dedicated optical telephoto lens entirely, leaving only dual 50MP main and ultrawide rear cameras.
