T5e

The T5e is the cheapest phone vivo sells in India, at ₹13,999 for its only version, 4GB + 64GB, in Aero Blue and Shadow Grey. It is for first-time smartphone owners and anyone who needs a spare phone for calls, WhatsApp and UPI.

The money buys a 6.74-inch 90Hz screen, a 5,500 mAh battery, IP64 dust and splash protection, a microSD slot for cards up to 2TB and OriginOS 6 on Android 16. vivo also rates the battery to keep at least 80% of its capacity after 1,600 full charges, which is a useful promise on a phone people tend to keep until it breaks.

The catch is that it is a 4G phone, with a Unisoc T7225 chip, an 8MP rear camera and 15W charging. The Y05 uses the same chip and costs ₹2,000 more, so the T5e is the better deal of the two. If you can stretch to ₹16,999, the T4 Lite 5G adds 5G and a 50MP camera.
