Is it any good?
The iQOO 15R is the smaller, cheaper flagship: a 6.59-inch phone for people who want top-tier speed without the iQOO 15's price. It costs ₹59,999 for 12GB + 256GB.
On paper it gives up surprisingly little. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 sits one step below the iQOO 15's chip, the 1.5K screen runs at 144Hz, and the 7,600 mAh battery is 600 mAh bigger than the flagship's, with the same 100W charging. It is rated IP68 and IP69, and the Dark Knight version is 7.9mm thick, the slimmest phone in iQOO's current range. iQOO also promises four Android updates and six years of security fixes, a firmer commitment than the iQOO 15 gets.
The catch is the cameras. Next to the 50MP main camera there is only an 8MP ultrawide and no zoom lens, and there is no wireless charging. If you shoot a lot of faraway subjects, the iQOO 15's periscope is worth the ₹26,000 extra. If you mostly play games, it isn't.
