The CMF Phone 1 is the cheapest phone Nothing sells, at ₹15,999 for 6GB + 128GB. It is for buyers on a tight budget who like the CMF look: a plain back with visible screws, in Black, Orange or Light Green.

The basics are covered. There is a Dimensity 7300, a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen rated at 2,000 nits, a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging, a 50MP main camera and IP52. At 197 g it is one of the lighter phones in the range, too.

The catch is age. It runs Android 14 with 2 OS updates, the shortest promise Nothing makes, against 3 on the ₹18,999 CMF Phone 2 Pro. That phone adds a 50MP telephoto, a 3,000-nit screen, IP54 and a newer Android version for ₹3,000 more, and it is the one to buy.
