Our verdict

The Galaxy F08 LTE's twin in Silver: cheap, long-supported and stuck on 4G.

Our take

Is it any good?

The Galaxy M08 LTE is a 4G-only budget Samsung at ₹16,999 for 4GB + 64GB, the same price as its twin, the Galaxy F08 LTE. It is for people who want a large battery and long software support and can live without 5G.

It runs the MediaTek Helio G99+ and has a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD screen, a 6,000 mAh battery with 25W charging, IP64 protection and a dedicated microSD slot. The 50MP main camera is joined by a 2MP depth camera, and Samsung promises six OS updates.

The catch is the same as the F08's: 64GB of storage and no 5G. The Galaxy M17e 5G costs ₹1,500 more and fixes both, which makes it the better long-term buy. Choose the M08 only if the budget is fixed at ₹16,999 and Silver appeals.
