vivo S2 FE goes on sale 20 October with a 10,000 mAh battery

The vivo S2 FE, a phone with a 10,000 mAh battery starting at ₹38,999, goes on sale in India on 20 October, two weeks after vivo launched it. It has a bigger battery than any rival in the table below, but it charges at 44W, records video at 1080p only and stops at 128GB of storage.

Prices below were checked on 13 October 2026. Our full vivo S2 FE page carries the specs and both versions.

How much does the vivo S2 FE cost in India?

The vivo S2 FE costs ₹38,999 for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, and ₹42,999 for 8GB and 128GB. Indian launch coverage lists 20 October as the first sale, and our catalogue shows the same prices.

Version	Price	RAM and storage
Base	₹38,999	6GB + 128GB
Higher	₹42,999	8GB + 128GB

The ₹4,000 step buys only 2GB more RAM, with the same 128GB of storage. That makes the 6GB version the better buy. The ₹42,999 price is also what the vivo S2 costs today, and that phone has a 7,050 mAh battery, a 197 g body and a 256GB option at ₹48,999.

Is a 10,000 mAh battery really a big deal?

Yes, on paper. Most phones in this price band carry 5,000 to 8,000 mAh, and vivo is putting 10,000 mAh into a 224 g body, 8.59 mm thick by vivo’s figures. Battery size is the number that decides how many days a phone lasts between chargers.

The life figures are vivo’s own. On its India page, vivo says a non-stop live-stream test ran for 32 hours 37 minutes and earned a Guinness World Record. It also says the battery keeps at least 80% of its capacity after 1,400 full charge cycles. vivo’s lab tests set those conditions. No independent battery test of the S2 FE has been published yet.

How does the vivo S2 FE compare with rivals at ₹35,000 to ₹40,000?

Against its closest rivals, the vivo S2 FE gives the most battery per rupee. At ₹38,999 it works out to ₹3.90 for every mAh. The OnePlus Nord CE6 works out to ₹4.50, and the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G and Nothing Phone (4a) cost more than ₹6.50 per mAh.

Phone	Today’s price	Battery	Wired charging	Weight	Rupees per mAh
vivo S2 FE (6GB + 128GB)	₹38,999	10,000 mAh	44W	224 g	₹3.90
OnePlus Nord CE6 (8GB + 128GB)	₹35,999	8,000 mAh	80W	215 g	₹4.50
Galaxy F70 Pro 5G (8GB + 128GB)	₹39,999	6,000 mAh	45W	206 g	₹6.67
Nothing Phone (4a) (6GB + 128GB)	₹36,999	5,400 mAh	50W	205 g	₹6.85

The trade is charging speed. The OnePlus Nord CE6 is ₹3,000 cheaper and charges at 80W, nearly double the 44W of the vivo S2 FE, although its battery is 2,000 mAh smaller. vivo has not said how long a full charge takes, and no independent figure exists yet. Our OnePlus Nord CE6 against vivo S2 FE comparison puts the two side by side.

What is missing on the vivo S2 FE?

Four things stand out on our page. Video recording stops at 1080p. The rear camera is a 50MP main sensor plus a 2MP depth sensor, so there is no ultra-wide or zoom lens. Storage tops out at 128GB on both versions. And there is no NFC, which matters for tap-to-pay.

The vivo S2 FE does bring IP68 and IP69 dust and water ratings, a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED screen rated at 2,000 nits by vivo, a Dimensity 7300e chip and OriginOS 6 on Android 16. vivo also says the phone passed five MIL-STD tests. More phones in this band are on our best phones under ₹40,000 list.
