Skip it if

How we test

Buy the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro at ₹29,999: it is the only Nothing phone under ₹50,000 that has both a 3x periscope zoom camera and NFC for tap-to-pay. On a tighter budget, the CMF Phone 2 Pro at ₹18,999 is the one to get. Prices below were last checked on The Synap’s pages on 29 October 2026.

Nothing now sells eight phones in India across its Nothing and CMF names, from ₹15,999 to ₹79,999, and several have gaps that the price list hides. The full Nothing price list has every one; this guide says which to pick.

Which Nothing phone is the best buy overall?

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro at ₹29,999 is the best all-round buy. It has a stabilised 50MP main camera, a stabilised 50MP periscope with 3x optical zoom, a 50MP selfie camera, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, 50W charging, IP64 and NFC. It comes in one version only, 8GB + 128GB.

The catch is age. It runs Android 15 with 3 OS updates, so its support ends before the newer Phone (4a)’s does, and the ultrawide camera is a modest 8MP. There is also no charger in the box, according to our Phone (3a) Pro page.

Which Nothing phone is best under ₹25,000?

The Nothing Phone (3a) at ₹24,999 is the best Nothing under ₹25,000. It has the same chip, screen, battery and 50W charging as the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, plus NFC and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The ₹5,000 the Pro asks buys a 3x periscope and a better selfie camera, so skip it if you rarely zoom.

Its flaws are specific: the telephoto has no optical stabilisation, the ultrawide is 8MP, and it runs Android 15 with 3 OS updates. For the same money elsewhere, see the best phones under ₹30,000.

What is the best cheap Nothing phone?

The CMF Phone 2 Pro at ₹18,999 is Nothing’s best value. For 8GB + 128GB you get a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen rated at 3,000 nits and a 5,000 mAh battery. It weighs 185 g, the lightest Nothing, and takes a microSD card of up to 2TB.

It gives up NFC and optical stabilisation, and it ships with Android 15 and 3 OS updates. The older CMF Phone 1 at ₹15,999 is the one to avoid: Nothing says it has reached the end of major software support, with 2 OS updates in total, so spend the extra ₹3,000.

Is the Nothing Phone (4a) worth it?

Only in its cheapest version. The Nothing Phone (4a) at ₹34,999 for 6GB + 128GB adds a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a 1.5K screen rated at 4,500 nits, a 5,400 mAh battery and Android 16 over the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, which costs ₹5,000 less. But the Indian Phone (4a) has no NFC, so no tap-to-pay.

The bigger versions are poor value. The 8GB model is ₹44,999, which is ₹10,000 for 2GB of memory, and the 12GB + 256GB model at ₹50,999 costs ₹1,000 more than the cheapest Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. Our earlier piece compares the two: is the Pro worth ₹7,000 more.

Step up What it costs What it buys
CMF Phone 2 Pro to Nothing Phone (3a) ₹6,000 more NFC, stabilised cameras, 50W charging, a faster Snapdragon chip
Nothing Phone (3a) to Nothing Phone (3a) Pro ₹5,000 more A 3x periscope zoom camera and a 50MP selfie camera
Nothing Phone (3a) Pro to Nothing Phone (4a) (6GB) ₹5,000 more Newer chip, sharper 1.5K screen, 5,400 mAh battery, Android 16, but no NFC
Nothing Phone (4a) 6GB to 8GB ₹10,000 more 2GB of extra memory and nothing else
Nothing Phone (4a) 8GB to Nothing Phone (4a) Pro 8GB ₹5,000 more NFC, 144Hz screen, slimmer body, IP65
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro 8GB to 12GB (256GB) ₹10,000 more 4GB more memory and 128GB more storage
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro to Nothing Phone (3) ₹30,000 more IP68, wireless charging, a 50MP ultrawide, 5 years of OS updates
Price gaps worked out from today’s prices on The Synap’s phone pages, last checked 29 October 2026.

Should you pay ₹49,999 for the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro?

If you want the newest Nothing at the mid-range, yes: the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro fixes the Phone (4a)’s gaps. For ₹5,000 over the 8GB Phone (4a) it adds NFC, a 144Hz screen, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and a slimmer 7.9 mm body with IP65. The cameras are the same: a stabilised 50MP main and 50MP periscope with 3.5x zoom.

Stop at the 8GB + 256GB version for ₹52,999, which is ₹3,000 for double the storage. The 12GB + 256GB model at ₹59,999 is ₹10,000 more than the base. See how the older Pro compares on the Phone (3a) Pro against Phone (4a) page, or browse Nothing phones under ₹50,000.

Which Nothing phones should you skip?

Skip the Nothing Phone (4b) unless battery size is all you shop for. At ₹29,999 it has Nothing’s biggest battery, 6,000 mAh with 33W charging, but the same money buys a periscope camera, 50W charging, a brighter screen and NFC in the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. Compare them on the Phone (3a) Pro against Phone (4b) page.

The Nothing Phone (3) at ₹79,999 is for one kind of buyer: someone who wants Nothing’s design with IP68, wireless charging, eSIM and 5 OS updates, which no other Nothing has. Everyone else gets most of it from the ₹49,999 Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, ₹30,000 less. Its 16GB + 512GB version at ₹89,999 asks another ₹10,000 for more memory.

Should you buy a Nothing phone before Diwali or wait?

Do not wait for a sticker-price cut. Diwali is on 8 November, and our price-drops page tracks no phone cuts today. It follows only the starting price, not bank, exchange or coupon deals, so check the maker’s own price before you pay. Why prices keep climbing is in our explainer on 2026 phone prices.

We have not used these phones, and no independent battery test sits behind the mAh figures above: they are Nothing’s own specifications as listed on our pages.
