The X Fold5 is the foldable that came before the X Fold6, and it costs ₹1,49,999 for its single 16GB + 512GB version, in Titanium Gray. It is for people who want a phone that opens into an 8.03-inch tablet without paying X Fold6 money.
The money buys a 6.53-inch cover screen, three 50MP cameras including a stabilised 3x telephoto, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and a 6,000 mAh battery with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. It carries IPX8, IPX9 and IPX9+ water ratings plus IP5X dust protection, and it weighs 217g and measures 9.2mm shut, both less than the X Fold6.
The catch is age. It runs Funtouch OS 15 on Android 15, two versions behind the X Fold6's Android 17, and vivo's India pages promise no number of updates for it. The X Fold6 also brings a 200MP main camera and a 6,900 mAh battery for its ₹70,000 premium. If you keep phones for years, that software gap matters more than the saving.
