Our take

Is it any good?

The X300 is the smaller sibling of the X300 Pro: a 6.31-inch phone that weighs 190g and still carries a 200MP main camera. It costs ₹83,999 for 12GB + 256GB, ₹89,999 for 12GB + 512GB and ₹93,999 for 16GB + 512GB, and it is for people who want a serious camera without a slab in their pocket.

The money buys a 200MP main camera and a 50MP 3x telephoto, both stabilised, a 50MP ultrawide, a 50MP selfie camera and 4K video at 60fps from front and back. Around them sit a Dimensity 9500, a 120Hz screen rated at 4,500 nits, a 6,040 mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, IP68 and IP69 ratings and a promise of five Android updates.

The catch is the battery. At 6,040 mAh it is 460 mAh smaller than the X300 FE's, and the FE has the same screen size and update promise. But the FE costs ₹6,000 more than the X300's cheapest version and pairs its 50MP main camera with an 8MP ultrawide, so unless battery size tops your list, the X300 is the better buy on paper.
