Our take

Is it any good?

The Shark 5G is a 2025 budget 5G phone that Lava's store lists at ₹11,999 for 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, in Stellar Gold and Stellar Blue.

A Unisoc T765 runs a 6.75-inch HD+ screen at 90Hz. The back has a 13MP main camera with an AI lens, the front a 5MP selfie camera, and the battery is 5,000 mAh. It is IP54 rated against dust and splashes, the fingerprint sensor is on the side, and a microSD slot takes cards up to 1TB. It weighs 200g and is 8.2mm thick.

The catch is the parts for the money. HD+ is a low resolution for a 6.75-inch screen, the box holds a 10W charger that takes 185 minutes to fill the battery by Lava's figure, and Bluetooth is version 4.2. Lava's software page does promise Android 16, with security updates for two years from the May 2025 launch. The Yuva 5G costs ₹2,500 less with a 50MP camera and 18W charging, though its updates have ended.
