Is it any good?
The POVA 8 Pro 5G is TECNO's priciest phone in India, at ₹49,999 for 8GB + 256GB and ₹54,999 for 12GB + 512GB. It is built for gamers who want their phone to look like a prop from a sci-fi film, right down to a panel of 177 tiny LEDs on the back that animates for calls and games.
Inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate with a vapour chamber for cooling, driving a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED screen behind Gorilla Glass 7i. The 6,500 mAh battery charges at 45W, the body is 7.39mm thick and weighs 189g, and TECNO rates it IP69K against dust and high-pressure water.
The catch is the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G. It has the same chip and the same battery, adds a 50MP 3x telephoto and a 50MP selfie camera, gets three Android updates to this phone's two, and costs ₹10,000 less. Unless you need 512GB or simply love the look, buy the Camon.
