Our take

Is it any good?

The realme Pad 2 is the oldest tablet in realme’s India range, and at ₹19,999 it is still the one we would look at first on a budget. It comes as a Wi-Fi model or a 4G model, both with 6GB + 128GB at the same price, so mobile data costs nothing extra.

For that you get an 11.5-inch 2K screen at 120Hz, four speakers with Dolby Atmos, an 8,360 mAh battery and 33W charging in a body 7.2 mm thin. That is a bigger screen, a faster refresh rate and more than twice the charging speed of the Pad 2 Lite, for ₹1,000 more than the Lite’s cheapest version.

The catch is age. The Helio G99 is the same chip the cheaper Pad 2 Lite uses, and the Pad 3’s Dimensity 7300-Max is well ahead of both. The Pad 2 also started life on realme UI 4 with Android 13, and realme publishes no update promise for it, so don’t buy it expecting years of new Android versions.
