Is it any good?
The Lenovo Tab is the entry ticket to Lenovo's range: a 10.1-inch tablet for streaming, video calls and homework. It costs ₹15,998 for 4GB + 64GB with Wi-Fi and ₹17,999 with 4G, and the cheapest versions come with a clear case that has a kickstand built in.
The money buys a 1920 x 1200 LCD at 60Hz and 400 nits, two Dolby Atmos speakers, the MediaTek Helio G85, a 5,100 mAh battery with 15W charging and a microSD slot. It weighs 430 g, and Lenovo promises two Android upgrades, to Android 16, with four years of security patches.
The catch is the hardware underneath. The Helio G85 is the most basic chip in Lenovo's India range, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage leave little room, and the update promise stops at Android 16. The Idea Tab costs ₹5,000 more and brings a 2.5K screen, four speakers and a stronger chip, the better buy for anyone keeping a tablet for years.
