Idea Tab Plus

The Idea Tab Plus is Lenovo's large tablet for students who want mobile data. Every version Lenovo India sells has 5G, and the Lenovo Tab Pen comes in the box. It costs ₹32,999 for 8GB + 256GB and ₹35,998 for 12GB + 256GB.

The money buys a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD at 90Hz with an 800 nits peak, four Dolby Atmos speakers, a 10,200 mAh battery and 45W charging, with the charger in the box, in a body 6.29 mm thick that weighs 530 g. Lenovo promises two Android upgrades, to Android 17, and security patches until 2029.

The catch is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400, a modest chip for a screen this size, and an update promise that ends a year before the newer Tab Plus Gen 2's. That tablet costs ₹31,998 with 128GB and has a 120Hz screen and JBL speakers, but no 5G and no pen. The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 adds a much faster Snapdragon chip and a 13-inch screen for ₹9,000 more, but drops 5G.
