Is it any good?
The Smart 9 HD is Infinix's entry-level smartphone for India, priced at ₹6,699 for 3GB + 64GB. It is designed for first-time smartphone buyers or secondary phone users who need simple communication, browsing, and media playback.
At ₹6,699, the device delivers a 6.7-inch 90Hz screen with punch-hole styling and dynamic notification animations. Power comes from an octa-core MediaTek Helio G50 chip alongside a 5,000 mAh battery, a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP selfie lens. Unusually at this price, it has an IP54 splash rating and dual speakers.
The trade-off is modest processing power and sluggish charging. With 3GB of RAM and 10W charging, switching between apps takes patience and a full charge is slow. Software runs Android 14 Go Edition without commitments for upcoming version updates.
