Apple’s iPad mini (A20 Pro) costs ₹82,900 in India for 128GB with Wi-Fi, and it goes on sale on 6 November. That is ₹13,000 more than the iPad mini (A17 Pro) it replaces and only ₹7,000 below the iPad Air 11″ (M4), so the question is whether small is worth Air money.

Prices below were checked on Apple’s India store on 30 October 2026. Our own tablet page for the iPad mini (A20 Pro) shows the same ladder.

What does the iPad mini (A20 Pro) cost in India?

It starts at ₹82,900 for 128GB with Wi-Fi. Every step up costs real money: our version list shows ₹12,000 more for 256GB and ₹18,000 more for the 5G version. Apple’s store is the source for every figure.

Version Price in India
128GB Wi-Fi ₹82,900
256GB Wi-Fi ₹94,900
128GB 5G ₹1,00,900
256GB 5G ₹1,12,900
512GB Wi-Fi ₹1,18,900
512GB 5G ₹1,36,900
Apple’s India store prices, checked 30 October 2026. Nano-texture glass versions (256GB and 512GB) cost ₹12,000 more than the same version without it.

What is new on the iPad mini (A20 Pro)?

The screen is the headline. Apple has moved the mini from LCD to an 8.5-inch OLED panel at 2316 x 1512 pixels, with a claimed 1,200 nits peak brightness on HDR content. The body is IP67 rated, meaning dust-tight and safe in 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes, according to Apple.

  • Chip: A20 Pro. The 512GB versions get a sixth CPU core; the 128GB and 256GB versions have five.
  • Body: 5.4 mm thick and 255 g for Wi-Fi (263 g with cellular). Apple says it is 14% thinner and 13% lighter than the last mini.
  • Battery: 18.9 Wh, with Apple claiming up to 10 hours of web browsing or video on Wi-Fi. No independent battery test has been published yet.
  • Camera: a 12MP front camera moved to the long edge, for video calls in landscape.
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 7. The cellular version takes an eSIM only, with no SIM tray.

A 20W charger comes in the box. Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C) both work, but neither is included.

Is the iPad mini (A20 Pro) worth it over the iPad Air?

Only if size is the point. The iPad Air 11″ (M4) costs ₹89,900 on Apple’s India store, so the mini saves ₹7,000 and gives up screen size. The cheaper iPad (A16) is ₹49,900, a gap of ₹33,000. Apple publishes no refresh rate for the mini and its store notes there is no ProMotion, so expect a standard 60Hz-class screen.

The price jump from the old model is steep too. The A17 Pro mini ended at ₹69,900 on our page, so ₹13,000 buys OLED, IP67 and the new chip. For a reader or note-taker who wants one-handed use, that is fair. For everyone else, the Air or the A16 is better value.

Among rivals, the Pad Mini from OPPO is ₹94,999 on our page, ₹12,099 more. We covered its India sale earlier, and the OnePlus Pad 4 or iPad Air guide covers the bigger-screen choice. Every tablet we list is on our tablets page.
