Is it any good?
At ₹179,900 for 256GB, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is Apple's no-compromise slab phone in India. Unlike the smaller iPhone 18 Pro, it asks for ₹15,000 more purely for a larger 6.9-inch 120Hz OLED display and the longest battery rating in the iPhone lineup at up to 43 hours of video playback.
The camera hardware is identical across both Pro sizes, and on paper it is Apple's biggest step in years: the 48MP main camera adds a physical variable aperture from f/1.48 to f/4.0, paired with a 48MP ultrawide and a 48MP 4x tetraprism telephoto that crops to 8x at 12MP. You also get the A20 Pro chip, USB 3 transfers up to 10 Gbps, Wi-Fi 7, and a physical nano-SIM slot alongside eSIM.
The catches are weight and cost. At 249 grams and 8.75 mm thick in an aluminium unibody with Ceramic Shield front and back, it is one of the heaviest non-folding phones on sale, and Apple still does not put a power adapter in the box.
