Samsung has raised the India price of the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G, Samsung Galaxy M47 5G and Galaxy F70 Pro 5G by ₹2,000, and the base versions now start at ₹35,999 for the A27 and ₹37,999 for the other two. Reports date the rise to 11 October, just ahead of the festive sales. Samsung’s own India site shows the higher prices for the A27 and M47 as of 16 October 2026.

What exactly did Samsung change?

SamMobile and other outlets report that every version of the three phones went up by ₹2,000, based on what appears to be a notice to retail partners. Samsung has not explained the move.

Phone and version Reported price before Price on 16 October
Samsung Galaxy A27 5G, 6GB + 128GB ₹33,999 ₹35,999
Samsung Galaxy M47 5G, 6GB + 128GB ₹35,999 ₹37,999
Samsung Galaxy M47 5G, 8GB + 128GB ₹39,999 ₹41,999
Galaxy F70 Pro 5G, 6GB + 128GB ₹35,999 ₹37,999
Galaxy F70 Pro 5G, 8GB + 128GB ₹39,999 ₹41,999
Earlier prices as reported by SamMobile and other outlets. Today’s prices from The Synap’s phone pages and checked against Samsung’s India site for the A27 and M47 base versions, 16 October 2026.

It is the second rise for the M47 and F70 Pro: several outlets report ₹3,000 more on 9 September, though their starting prices differ, so treat the ₹5,000 total as approximate.

Which of the three is the best buy now?

The Galaxy A27 5G at ₹35,999 is the best value of the three. It has the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, 6.7-inch 120Hz screen and camera set as the M47, plus an IP64 dust and splash rating that Samsung does not list for the M47, according to our A27 page.

The ₹2,000 more for the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G buys one thing: a 6,000 mAh battery with 45W charging, against 5,000 mAh on the A27. The 8GB version at ₹41,999 is poor value, because it asks ₹4,000 for 2GB of extra memory. The Galaxy F70 Pro 5G is the same phone at the same price, so pick it only for the colour. Compare them on the A27 against M47 page.

The rise also changes the rivals. On our pages the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, vivo T5 Pro 5G and Nothing Phone (4a) each start at ₹36,999, which is ₹1,000 less than the M47 and ₹1,000 more than the A27. For more at this budget, see the best phones under ₹40,000 or Samsung phones under ₹40,000.

Did realme raise prices too?

One outlet, The Tech Outlook, reported on 13 October that realme raised prices by up to ₹5,000, and The Synap’s phone pages already show the higher prices. We found no realme notice, so the earlier prices rest on that one report.

Phone and version One outlet’s reported price before Price on 16 October
realme 16 5G, 8GB + 128GB ₹36,999 ₹41,999
realme 16 5G, 8GB + 256GB ₹39,999 ₹43,999
realme 16 5G, 12GB + 256GB ₹42,999 ₹47,999
realme 16T 5G, 6GB + 128GB ₹30,999 ₹31,999
realme C100i, 4GB + 64GB ₹14,999 ₹15,999
Earlier prices from a single report by The Tech Outlook, 13 October 2026. Today’s prices from The Synap’s phone pages. No realme notice found.

The biggest jump is on the realme 16 5G, now ₹41,999 for the base version. That is hard to defend: our page shows the realme 15T 5G with the same screen size, battery, charging and 50MP selfie camera for ₹27,999, which is ₹14,000 less. The realme P4s 5G costs ₹34,999 with an 8,000 mAh battery. The realme 16T 5G and realme C100i rose by ₹1,000 each.

Should you buy now or wait for Diwali?

Do not count on a sticker-price cut. Diwali is on 8 November, but our price-drops page tracks no phone price cuts today, and it counts only the starting price, not bank, exchange or coupon deals. Some Indian listings were reported to show older Samsung prices on 12 and 13 October, so check the maker’s own price first. On EMI offers, see what no-cost EMI really costs.
