The iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable, opens for pre-order at 5:30 pm IST on Friday 16 October from ₹2,99,900 for 256GB, and goes on sale in India on 23 October, according to Apple’s India store. The price climbs to ₹4,49,900 for the 2TB version.

For most buyers, the 256GB version is the one to pick. Here is the full price ladder, what the offers really do to your monthly bill, and what to know before the pre-order window opens.

What does the iPhone Duo cost in India?

The iPhone Duo costs ₹2,99,900 for 256GB, ₹3,24,900 for 512GB, ₹3,74,900 for 1TB and ₹4,49,900 for 2TB. Those are Apple’s own India prices, and they match what our iPhone Duo page shows for each version.

Version India price 12-month EMI from
256GB ₹2,99,900 ₹26,574
512GB ₹3,24,900 ₹28,842
1TB ₹3,74,900 ₹33,378
2TB ₹4,49,900 ₹40,183
Source: Apple’s India store, checked 14 October 2026. EMI assumes 15.99% a year over 12 months on qualifying cards, as Apple’s store states.

Step up from 256GB to 512GB and you pay ₹25,000 more, about ₹98 for every extra gigabyte. The jump from 512GB to 1TB costs ₹50,000, the same ₹98 a gigabyte. The 2TB version adds ₹1,50,000 to the base price: poor value unless you shoot a lot of 4K video.

Against rivals, our iPhone Duo page lists the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra at ₹1,99,999, which is ₹99,901 less.

Is there no-cost EMI on the iPhone Duo?

Yes, but only for 3 and 6 months, and only from 11 October to 11 November 2026, per Apple’s India store. On the 256GB version, six months works out to about ₹49,983 a month. That is a heavy monthly bill for a phone, so read our explainer on what no-cost EMI really costs first.

No-cost EMI tenure Monthly instalment, 256GB
3 months ₹99,967
6 months ₹49,983
The Synap’s arithmetic on Apple’s ₹2,99,900 price, rounded to the rupee. Apple lists no-cost EMI for 3 and 6 months on the iPhone Duo, 11 October to 11 November 2026.

If you want a smaller instalment, Apple’s store shows ₹26,574 a month over 12 months at 15.99% a year on qualifying cards. That adds up to ₹3,18,888, or ₹18,988 more than the sticker price.

Apple also lists ₹7,000 instant cashback on American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards, with a minimum purchase of ₹10,001. Business customers are excluded. If it applies, the 256GB version drops to ₹2,92,900.

What is the iPhone Duo missing?

It is eSIM-only in India, so there is no physical SIM tray, according to Apple’s India page. Check that your operator supports eSIM before you pay ₹3 lakh.

Apple’s page lists two rear cameras, a 48MP main and a 48MP ultra wide, with zoom of up to 2x at optical quality. There is no dedicated telephoto camera, which the ₹1,79,900 iPhone 18 Pro Max has. Apple claims up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display. No independent battery test has been published yet.

Unfolded, the iPhone Duo has a 7.6-inch screen, with a 5.4-inch screen on the outside. Both run at up to 120Hz, and Apple rates them for up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.

Should you pre-order the iPhone Duo or wait?

Wait for independent reviews if you can: nobody outside Apple has published battery, crease or durability results yet, and the phone is on sale just a week after pre-orders start. If you are weighing it against Samsung’s foldable, our iPhone Duo or Galaxy Z Fold8 buying guide and the side-by-side comparison cover it. Other launches are on our upcoming phones calendar.
