Is it any good?
The MacBook Neo is Apple's lowest-priced laptop at ₹79,900 for 8GB unified memory and 256GB storage. It is built for students, travel and everyday office work such as web browsing, documents and video streaming, rather than demanding creative projects.
The money buys an Apple A18 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU, a 13.0-inch Liquid Retina screen at 2408 x 1506 resolution, dual speakers with Spatial Audio, and a 1.23 kg aluminium clamshell. Apple rates it at up to 16 hours of video streaming on its 36.5 Wh battery, with a 20W USB-C charger included in the box.
The catch is that 8GB unified memory is soldered with no upgrade option, and the ₹79,900 base setup lacks Touch ID. For ₹10,000 more, the ₹89,900 configuration doubles storage to 512GB and adds fingerprint login.
