Is it any good?
The CAMON 50 Ultra 5G costs ₹39,999 for its only version, 8GB + 256GB, and it is TECNO's camera phone. It is for someone who wants a proper zoom lens without paying flagship money.
The money buys three rear cameras: a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main camera with stabilisation, a 50MP 3x telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide, plus a 50MP autofocus selfie camera, and both sides record 4K video. The screen is a 6.78-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED at 144Hz, the chip is a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate, and the 6,500 mAh battery charges at 45W. TECNO rates it IP69K and promises three Android updates and five years of security patches.
The catch is small: there is one memory version, so 256GB is all you get. Worth knowing too: the POVA 8 Pro 5G uses the same chip, costs ₹10,000 more and has fewer cameras and a shorter update promise. This is the one to buy.
