Is it any good?
Apple still sells the 2024 iPhone 16 in India in a single 128GB version, and its current ₹89,900 price is ₹10,000 higher than when it launched. That pricing puts it in an awkward spot: it costs ₹10,000 more than the 256GB iPhone 17e and only ₹10,000 less than the 256GB iPhone 17.
Compared with the iPhone 17e, the iPhone 16 gives you a brighter 2,000-nit Dynamic Island display, a 12MP ultrawide camera with macro support, the Camera Control button, Wi-Fi 7, and 25W MagSafe charging. It runs on the older A18 chip and weighs the same 170 grams with an IP68 rating.
The problem is that spending ₹10,000 more for the iPhone 17 doubles your storage to 256GB and upgrades you to a 6.3-inch 120Hz ProMotion screen, the A19 chip, a 48MP ultrawide camera, and an 18MP selfie camera. At ₹89,900, the iPhone 16 is poor value.
