Our take

Is it any good?

The Hot 70 Pro 5G is the tough one in Infinix's range. It carries an IP68 rating, the best in the brand's current line-up, and at ₹24,999 for 6GB + 128GB it is for buyers who want a phone rated to shrug off rain, dust and a dunk in the sink.

The money buys a Dimensity 7100, a 6.76-inch 144Hz LCD, a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera, a 6,000 mAh battery with 45W charging, NFC and an infrared blaster. The 8GB version costs ₹27,999.

The catch is the Note Edge. It costs ₹2,000 less, uses the same Dimensity 7100, and swaps this phone's LCD for a curved AMOLED screen, with a bigger 6,500 mAh battery and an update promise on top. Unless the IP68 rating is the whole point, the Note Edge is the better buy on paper. Infinix prints no update promise for the Hot 70 Pro 5G.
