Is it any good?
The Agni 4 is Lava's flagship, priced at ₹31,999 for its one version, 8GB + 256GB. It is for buyers who want proper speed and tidy software from an Indian brand, and who would rather not pay extra for a famous badge.
The money buys a MediaTek Dimensity 8350, the quickest chip in Lava's range, a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen at 120Hz with a 2,400 nits peak, and an aluminium frame. Both the 50MP main camera, which has optical stabilisation, and the 50MP selfie camera record 4K at 60fps. Lava promises three Android upgrades and four years of security updates, and its software comes without ads or bloatware.
The catch is the battery. It holds 5,000 mAh, 1,000 mAh less than the cheaper Virat Curve and Virat V1 Pro 5G, though Lava says its 66W charging reaches half in under 19 minutes. There is no microSD slot either, so the 256GB you buy is the 256GB you keep.
