OPPO Pad Mini is on sale in India at ₹94,999
OPPO's 8.8-inch Pad Mini costs ₹94,999 and goes on sale 29 October, ₹13,099 above the 256GB iPad mini. A free pen comes with it until 11 November.
The OPPO Pad Mini goes on sale in India on 29 October at ₹94,999, and for now OPPO is reported to throw in its pen and a case. That is a lot to pay for an 8.8-inch tablet: it costs ₹13,099 more than the 256GB iPad mini (A17 Pro) and ₹5,099 more than the bigger iPad Air 11″ (M4).
OPPO launched the tablet on 22 October alongside the OPPO Find X10 phones. India gets one version only, called the Matte Display Edition.
What does the OPPO Pad Mini cost in India?
It costs ₹94,999 for 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, Wi-Fi only, in Lavender Purple. There is no cheaper version and no SIM version. OPPO India’s own product page prints no price, so this figure comes from launch reports that agree, and it matches our tablet page.
What do you get with the launch offers?
Launch reports list three things from 22 October to 11 November: a 15% instant discount on eligible bank cards, no-cost EMI for up to 24 months, and the OPPO Pencil 3 Pro and a Smart Case free with the tablet. One outlet, citing OPPO’s store listing, values the pen at ₹7,999 and the case at ₹3,999. We could not confirm those figures on OPPO India’s own page, so check the terms and the card cap at checkout.
The free pen matters because OPPO’s pen is otherwise a separate buy, and OPPO makes no keyboard for the tablet. Buy before 11 November, or budget for the pen on top.
How does it compare with other tablets?
Against the iPad mini, the like-for-like step is storage: Apple charges ₹81,900 for 256GB with Wi-Fi, so the OPPO costs ₹13,099 more. It is also dearer than a bigger tablet, the 11-inch iPad Air, which starts at ₹89,900 for 128GB.
| Tablet | Screen | Version | Today’s price |
|---|---|---|---|
| OPPO Pad Mini | 8.8-inch, 144Hz | 8GB + 256GB Wi-Fi | ₹94,999 |
| iPad mini (A17 Pro) | 8.3-inch | 256GB Wi-Fi | ₹81,900 |
| iPad Air 11″ (M4) | 11-inch | 128GB Wi-Fi | ₹89,900 |
| OnePlus Pad 4 | 13.2-inch, 144Hz | 8GB + 256GB Wi-Fi | ₹62,999 |
| OPPO Pad 5 | 12.1-inch, 120Hz | 8GB + 128GB Wi-Fi | ₹29,999 |
Inside OPPO’s own range the gap is starker. The OPPO Pad 5 costs ₹29,999 and has a 12.1-inch screen, so the Pad Mini asks ₹65,000 more for a smaller display and a much faster chip. Our guide to the OnePlus Pad 4 or the iPad Air covers the bigger-screen options.
What is the OPPO Pad Mini good at?
Size and speed. By OPPO’s figures it has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a flagship phone chip, an 8.8-inch 2.5K AMOLED screen that refreshes up to 144Hz with a matte finish that cuts glare, and a body 5.46 mm thin that weighs about 282 g. The 8,000 mAh battery and 67W charging are OPPO’s claims too, and we have seen no independent battery test yet.
The catches are plain. It is Wi-Fi only, so away from home it borrows your phone’s data, while the iPad mini sells a 5G version for ₹18,000 more at 128GB. The screen is small for split-screen work. OPPO has not published a software update promise that our page can show, and it runs ColorOS 16.
Should you buy it now?
Buy it only if the size is the point and the free pen is in the box: that is the one case where ₹94,999 makes sense. For most people the 256GB iPad mini is the better small tablet, and the poorest value is paying full price for the OPPO after the offer ends on 11 November. Diwali falls on 8 November, so festive sales may also move rival prices; our tablet list shows every price, sorted by what you want to spend.
