How we test

Which OnePlus is best under ₹25,000?

The OnePlus N6 at ₹23,499 for 4GB + 128GB, or ₹24,999 for 6GB + 128GB. Take the 6GB version: the extra ₹1,500 buys more memory and 1080p video at 60fps, which the 4GB version records at 30fps. It has an 8,000 mAh battery and 45W charging, as OnePlus rates them.

The catch is the screen. It is a 6.8-inch LCD at 1570 x 720, a lower resolution than any Nord, and the single 50MP camera has no optical stabilisation. At 224g it is also the heaviest phone OnePlus sells.

Cheaper still, the OnePlus N6x starts at ₹18,499 and is the cheapest OnePlus with 5G. Skip its 64GB version: ₹1,500 more doubles the storage to 128GB. But it charges at only 15W, a third of the OnePlus N6‘s speed, and for ₹5,000 more the N6 is the better phone. Compare them on our OnePlus N6 vs OnePlus N6x page.

The OnePlus N6 Lite at ₹15,999 is poor value. Its UNISOC T7250 chip is 4G only, and the N6x adds 5G with the same 7,000 mAh battery for ₹2,500 more. Only the headphone jack and the microSD slot argue for it.

Which OnePlus is best at ₹25,000 to ₹40,000?

The OnePlus Nord CE6 at ₹35,999 for 8GB + 128GB. It has an AMOLED screen at 144Hz, an 8,000 mAh battery, 80W charging and IP66 to IP69K water ratings. The 8GB + 256GB version costs ₹39,999, so ₹4,000 doubles the storage.

What you give up: there is no NFC for tap-to-pay, Wi-Fi stops at Wi-Fi 6, and the 50MP camera is joined by a 2MP assistance camera instead of an ultrawide. If you do not need that, it is the sensible Nord.

The OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite is the one to be careful with. The 8GB + 128GB version at ₹28,499 is the one to buy over the ₹27,999 6GB model, but it has an LCD screen and only electronic stabilisation. For ₹7,500 more, the OnePlus Nord CE6 fixes both. If your budget is tight, our OnePlus phones under ₹30,000 list shows the options.

Is the OnePlus Nord 6 the best OnePlus to buy?

For most people, yes. The OnePlus Nord 6 costs ₹44,999 for 8GB + 256GB and ₹50,999 for 12GB + 256GB. It has a 9,000 mAh battery, the largest OnePlus sells and 1,600 mAh more than the OnePlus 15R, with 80W charging, a 165Hz screen at 3,600 nits peak brightness, and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip.

It also has the only written update promise in the range: OnePlus India promises four Android upgrades and six years of security updates, as our Nord 6 page shows. The other OnePlus phones on our pages have no published promise from the maker. For how that works across brands, read our guide to how many years of updates your phone gets.

Pick the 8GB version. The 12GB model costs ₹6,000 more, and few buyers will notice the difference. The catch is the camera: a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide, with no zoom lens. Here is how it stacks up against the cheaper Nord on our OnePlus Nord 6 vs OnePlus Nord CE6 page: the gap is ₹9,000.

Should you pay more for the OnePlus 15R or the OnePlus 15?

Only if you want flagship speed or zoom photos. The OnePlus 15R at ₹56,999 for 12GB + 256GB has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 7,400 mAh battery and 80W charging. It is the sensible flagship, but it costs ₹12,000 more than the OnePlus Nord 6 and has the same camera pairing, a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide. The 16GB + 512GB version is ₹63,999, ₹7,000 more.

The OnePlus 15 at ₹84,999 is the one that ticks every box: a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide, 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. That is ₹28,000 more than the 15R, and the money buys camera and charging, not battery: its 7,300 mAh cell is a touch smaller. The 16GB + 512GB version is ₹92,999. For ₹8,000 you get 4GB more RAM and double the storage, so it is the easy upgrade. OnePlus India publishes no update promise for it.

The OnePlus 13s is the one to skip. At ₹64,999 in a single 16GB + 512GB version, it costs ₹8,000 more than the 15R. It is smaller (185g, a 6.32-inch screen) with a 5,850 mAh battery and Android 15, against Android 16 on most of the range. Buy it only if a compact body is the whole point.

Waiting is also an option. The OnePlus 16 is official in China with a 9,000 mAh battery, but OnePlus has not said anything about India yet, as we reported in our OnePlus 16 India launch story. Festive sales can also change prices, so check our price drops page before you pay.
