Is it any good?
Sitting at the top of vivo's Y-series range at ₹34,999 (8GB + 128GB) and ₹37,999 (8GB + 256GB), the Y51 Pro 5G is built for rugged offline-retail appeal. It combines a 7,200 mAh battery and 44W charging with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance in an 8.39mm, 219g frame, and runs OriginOS 6 on Android 16 powered by MediaTek's 2.5GHz Dimensity 7360-Turbo chip.
The problem is what happens when you compare it with vivo's own online-focused T series at the exact same ₹34,999 starting price. Where the T5 5G gives you a 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED screen, OIS and an ultrawide camera, the Y51 Pro 5G uses a 6.75-inch 120Hz LCD with a coarse 1,570 x 720 (HD+) resolution, a 50MP f/2.0 main camera without OIS, a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP selfie camera.
Unless you specifically want its Festive Red or Noble Gold finishes, the T5 5G and T5x 5G offer much sharper displays for the money.
